AMA Outdoor Race Series, Round Two
Sacramento, CA - June 1, 2008

Round two of the AMA outdoor national series kept the wheel turning in Sacramento, Ca at Hangtown MX Park this past Sunday. Division 7/Star Racing/NCY/Yamaha showcasing Broc Tickle #35, Matt Lemoine #52, Jake Moss #82, and Wil Hahn #99, came in refreshed and ready to take on another grueling track. Timed qualifying went well for our riders, as Tickle and Lemoine both set a fast lap giving them top ten gate selections.

Moto one took to the all new track, with Moss 7th, Tickle 12th, Lemoine 16th, and Hahn 17th. In the first ten minutes of the race, the D7 riders were making strides with Moss in 8th and Tickle now holding 10th. Meanwhile, in the same time span Lemoine was finding his lines creeping up to 12th and Hahn moved inside the top fifteen. Passing the halfway mark things got rattled a bit, with Moss bobbling and losing several positions, and then Lemoine swapped out while climbing a fast, rutted hill. In doing so, he would injure his thumb which required some stitching. When the moto came to a finish, Tickle posted yet another top finish in 9th, Hahn gutted out a 16th, and Moss crept in at 19th.

Moto came into existence, with all four riders avoiding being swallowed up in a first turn pile up. On lap one, Moss was in contention sitting 11th, Hahn was in common territory, 14th, and Tickle held 16th. As the rest of this moto wore on, Tickle only would move in the rankings slightly, 14th, and Moss trailed in 15th. Unfortunately, for Hahn in the last minutes of the moto his bike started acting out of the norm and he pulled off to not risk injury.

Results Moto 1 Moto 2 = Overall Finish
Broc Tickle 9th 14th = 13th
Jake Moss 19th 15th = 17th
Wil Hahn 16th 35th = 19th
Matt Lemoine 31st DNS = 39th Return to Action TBD

Next Race: Freestone County Raceway in Wortham, TX June 8th.
